Send to Survive

Video Series

In this series for elders, missions committees, and church members, Brooks Buser and Chad Vegas outline five competencies of a sending and going church evangelizing the hardest places.

Five Competencies of a Sending Church

Reaching every language demands the devotion of every church.

01 — Own the Mission

A faithful church knows its chief end and sends itself to the ends of the earth.

02 — Steward the Means

Your church already has the means it needs: the Holy Spirit, preaching, prayer, and the sacraments.

03 — Build the House

You can’t send what you haven’t received. A sending church must first be made healthy, equipped, and faithful by Christ.

04 — Commit to the Culture

One “Missions Sunday” won’t cut it. Mission must shape your message and ministry year-round.

05 — Labor Together

No church finishes the task alone. Band together, learn from the past, and send well.

When a church ceases to be evangelistic, it must cease to be evangelical; and when it ceases to be evangelical, it must cease to exist as a true church of God.
